Please consider volunteering this year - currently you can SIGN UP HERE

Everyone who would like to volunteer in any capacity at the school or at any student activity, sports team, or trip MUST be in full compliance with the Archdiocese of Washington Child Protection requirements and have registered on the MoN volunteer database.

To be in compliance, a volunteer must have:

  1. Attended the Child Protection training class.
  2. Read the Child Protection Handbook, signed the acknowledgement page, and submitted it to the school office or another Archdiocesan location.
  3. Completed a volunteer application and submitted it to the school office or another Archdiocesan location.
  4. Been fingerprinted through the Archdiocese of Washington and received the results from both the state of Maryland and the FBI.
  5. Have all of the above recorded on the VIRTUS database.

Fingerprinting appointments and Child Protection classes fill up quickly and background checks may take a few weeks, so please try to fulfill the requirements well in advance of when you would like to volunteer.

In addition to submitting the application and acknowledgement page, please send your fingerprint receipt (pink copy) and copy of class attendance certificate to the office to help us track your progress.

If you have any questions on the VIRTUS requirements, please email Andrea Murphy at amurphy@maryofnazareth.org or Maryellen Weir at mweir@maryofnazareth.org.
