Mary of Nazareth School is situated on 190 acres of rolling green hills, lush forestry, and manicured athletic fields in northwestern Montgomery County, Maryland. Located safely and privately off of State Route 28, our school was constructed in three phases. The first phase of construction was completed in 1996, and the third and final phase was completed in 2004. The building and grounds at Mary of Nazareth are extremely well maintained, clean, and modern. The balance of unyielding beauty and top-of-the-line facilities provides an ideal setting for children to learn and grow.
Mary of Nazareth is blessed to have the Katie Fitzgerald Center as an integral part of our campus. This facility is not only home to our Athletic Department, but also used for school-wide Mass every month, extracurricular sports activities, the school’s annual Benefit Gala, among other events.
Mary of Nazareth School has a dedicated computer lab, consisting of 33 state-of-the-art iMac computers. Students in Kindergarten through eighth grade attend a weekly computer class in the lab, while students in grades two through five have an additional weekly writing lab.
The James Cardinal Hickey Library has over 27,000 books including picture books, early readers, chapter, nonfiction, audio books, young adult, and Spanish language books. It also includes a teacher resource room, a reference room, and a media research center. Each class visits the library once a week to check out books and learn Library skills.
The Don and Bee Heck Media Center houses fifteen personal 16 Lenovo 92Z All-In-One PC’s with touch screen capability and Windows 8.1. This center adjoins our renovated James Cardinal Hickey Library and supports student learning and skill development in a variety of ways. In this state of the art media center, students conduct research, attend Spanish Lab, and participate in writing workshops.
