Mary of Nazareth School

Virtue Program

The Mary of Nazareth School virtue program encourages students to live out Christian virtue in their everyday lives. The program promotes good character and teaches students to put the teachings of Jesus Christ into action. Each month, our school counselor visits individual classrooms and discusses the assigned monthly virtue with the class. Faculty and staff recognize students with virtue cards for going "above and beyond" to help a fellow classmate or adult by exhibiting the virtue of the month. Students also have an opportunity to illustrate how they incorporate monthly virtues into their lives by displaying testimonials on the school’s bulletin board outside of the front office. Students receiving the most virtue cards are selected from each homeroom and recognized with the “Virtue of the Month Award” at Mass, generally on the first Friday of the month.
